Itinerary

This full-day tour to Vinicunca starts very early in the morning from Cusco and returns in the evening, including time for travel, hiking, and exploring the landscape:

• Pick-up and Travel to Cusipata: Early departure from Cusco (approx. 4:00 AM) and travel by tourist transport south, passing through picturesque towns until arriving at Cusipata for breakfast.
• Travel to Phulawasipata and Start of Trek: We continue by transport to Phulawasipata (4,630 m.a.s.l.), the starting point of the hike to the Rainbow Mountain.
• Trek to Vinicunca: Hike of approximately 1.5 to 2 hours (one way) ascending a trail with stunning views of glaciers and Andean landscapes.
• Exploration of the Rainbow Mountain: Enjoy the panoramic view of Vinicunca (5,036 m.a.s.l.), take photos, and marvel at the colors of the mountain and Ausangate.
• Descent and Lunch: Hike back to Phulawasipata, where the transport will be waiting to take us back to Cusipata for a comforting lunch.
• Return to Cusco: Journey back to Cusco city, arriving approximately between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM.

• Small backpack (20-30 liters).
• Warm clothing (layers), hat, gloves.
